Failte - Gaelic for welcome

Please allow me to introduce myself

"I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list."

Susan Sontag

Neil Macleod

A visitor once described the Highlands of Scotland as a "place of mystery." What is around the next corner? Where can we stop for a drink?

Do I need suncream today?

While not guaranteeing I will always be able to answer the questions, it is always fun solving a mystery.

I was born in Inverness, then went south to Glasgow and Edinburgh before returning to my ancestral home, the Highlands. With 40 years of working in tourism in the Highlands and appearing in a few films - Highlander, Breaking the Waves and BraveHeart, as a piper, I have many stories to share.
I love the Scottish Highlands, whatever the weather and would love to show off the best of this and other parts of Scotland. Explain some of the history and scenery and hopefully make you feel part of today's highland way of life.   I am a qualified guide and a member of the Highlands of Scotland Tour Guide Association (HOSTGA).

I also have full indemnity insurance and public liability for carrying passengers in my vehicle.
